[Internacional] Fast - Grant-in-Aid Program


Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (Fast) recebe propostas para financiamento de projetos de pesquisa na área de Síndrome de Angelman.

The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (Fast) was formed on August 28, 2008, Ainsley’s 4th birthday, by a group of parents with expertise in the fields of science, medicine, finance, law, entrepreneurship, management and entertainment. Fast's grants and fellowships program strives to encourage research aimed at finding a specific treatment for Angelman Syndrome. The Grant-In-Aid Program will provide targeted funding to enable research projects on Angelman Syndrome (AS) to proceed at a rapid pace. These one-time Awards are not meant to be the sole support for a research project, but are, instead, envisioned to enable capitalization upon findings from current projects, allow for exploratory experiments, or provide funding for reagents or equipment necessary to move research forward.

Data Limite Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Elegibilidade Institutions receiving Grants must be recognized as nonprofit;
Individuals should have training and experience at least equal to the Ph.D. or M.D. level; Awardees are required to pursue their research training on a full-time basis, normally defined as forty hours per week, or as specified by the sponsoring institution in accordance with its own policies; Research clinicians must devote full-time to their proposed research training and must restrict clinical duties within their full-time research training experience to activities that are directly related to the research training experience.
Note: Fast’s research program awards Grants to the world’s best scientists who are focused on discovering and developing treatments, technologies and ultimately a cure benefiting those with AS.

Valor Financiado There is no predetermined amount of award. Fast anticipates investigators applying for what they need. However, only under special circumstance do it anticipates awards in excess of US$10,000.00.
